8 games you must play in 2013

Pizza, beer, your Xbox or PlayStation and healthy rivalry among the boys. Sounds like the perfect way to spend the weekend, right? Games offer the perfect departure from your daily routine, and quite honestly, are the best way to unwind.
2012 introduced us to Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3, Twisted Metal, Assassin’s Creed 3, Journey and Sleeping Dogs. Sheer gaming paradise. Let’s see what 2013 has in store.
  • Grand Theft Auto 5 – The fifth instalment to the popular Grand Theft Auto series, this is the one game everyone’s been awaiting since it was announced.
  • Gears of War: Judgement – The Gears of War franchise is a golden egg laying hen. And the upcoming instalment promises all the thrills and great moments its predecessors have.
  • Bioshock Infinite – Lauded by critics and gamers alike, Bioshock was an instant success. It’s successor has big boots to fill. And looks set to do so. And more.
  • Watch Dogs – With a plot as closely guarded as the Queen’s crown jewels, Ubisoft looks all set to add another feather to its prestigious gaming cap.
  • Tomb Raider – Lara Croft. Two words that send any hard-core gamer’s heart into a tailspin. That’s a good enough reason to make this reboot one of the most awaited games in the upcoming year.
  • God of War: Ascension – Anything and everything involving Kratos makes news. And rightly so. This story takes off on how the God of War becomes the vengeful person he is. Greek Mythology has never been more interesting!
  • The Last of Us – From the guys that got you the superbly enjoyable Uncharted, The Last of Us is set in a plague demolished world and stars an adult survivor and a 14 year old girl taking on zombie-like creatures. Anything with zombies is always something to look forward to.
  • Sim City – A reboot of the well-known though almost forgotten Sim City, this game is exactly what EA needs to give them that much-needed boost.

So if you ever needed a reason to spend more time glued to your favourite toy, this is it. Get your gamer on, and let the good times flow!
