Athletic wear is the flavour of Europe and it’s not unusual to see a designer pairing a formal suit with a pair of gym sneakers or layering it with a windbreaker toggle coat. Most London designers stuck to their USPs and strengths. Astrid Andersen toyed with his favourite idea of androgyny, while Burberry presented its trench-coats in moody wine tones, while Jonathan Saunders showed his now-famous engineered prints.  The push was on tailoring, construction techniques and active-wear which propelled an athletic functionality.

Along with a pop of vibrant patterns on all-white ensembles and an interplay of red, black and white patterns running across suits, sweatshirts were the highlights of the show. Elongated shirts paired with waistcoats and cropped trousers were paired with sneakers. The long, sequinned coats, which came towards the end totally killed it.

Crushed velvet tracksuits, lace-covered sports bras for men, a cross between a bolero jacket and sporty hoodie, crop tops and an off-shoulder jumper were the highlights of the show. It was all certainly for an evolved fashionable über-sexual male, who can rock a crop top and flaunt his washboard abs without skipping a masculine beat.

A plush and vibrant palette of mustard, peacock blue and plum was seen on trench-coats, jackets, shirts, trousers and handbags, which were paired with vibrant sneakers and bucket hats. Adding dashing accents to the ensembles were the cheery-toned handbags, lending a preppy edge to the collection.
