The latest men’s fragrance from the house of Salvatore Ferragamo, Acqua Essenziale is a burst of summer freshness with a Mediterranean infusion of citron, flowers, and woods. With aromatic top notes of mint and lemon leaf, it has floral middle notes of geranium, rosemary, lavender with a blend of sea notes. Its base notes are of patchouli, vetiver, musk and labdanum. An embodiment of freedom, this fragrance comes in a striking geometric bottle.
AQVA POUR HOMME MARINE BY BULGARI
Like a splash of fresh ocean water, Bulgari’s AQVA POUR HOMME evokes images of sunny sands and cool ocean breeze. Perfumer Jacques Cavallier describes its composition, “In the top, Neroli Bigarade and grapefruit give the perfume a lively freshness, at once bright, crisp and vibrating. For the heart, I’ve underlined the Posidonia note to emphasise the transparent watery accord of the fragrance. Rosemary flower has been added for its reassuring and vivid aromatic aspect. The mineral amber that signs the depth and the mineral aspect of this fragrance has been rebalanced. Finally, I’ve introduced white cedar wood to give radiant, tactile and natural tones to the dry down.”
AQUA RUSH BY NAUTICA
If you’re day-dreaming about sailing away in the luxury of a yacht, the Nautica Aqua Rush is just the fragrance for you. With the aim of capturing the ‘exhilaration of being on the water and feeling the waves’, perfumer Harry Fremont used notes of sea breeze accord, citrusy yuzu, coriander, water mint, clary sage, violet leaves, amberwood, water musks and teakwood. Keeping in mind the aquatic theme, the bottle too is designed like a curvy sailboat.
SWISS ARMY MOUNTAIN WATER BY SWISS ARMY
If snow-capped mountain peaks are more your beat, the icy coolness of Swiss Army Mountain Water is just what you need. Capturing the crystal clear air of a Swiss glacier, this fragrance contains essences of black pepper and cool mint, plus a woody-spicy combination of sage, rosemary, moss and patchouli that further underlines the scent’s masculinity. The sparkling blue bottle is said to be inspired by the mountain water of the Swiss Alps.
