The sun is a source of vitamin for your skin, but excessive exposure to it can cause wrinkles. The sun’s UV rays cause damage to the skin, thus causing wrinkles. Try and avoid the sun during peak hours, that is between 10am and 4pm. If you must step out, use a sunscreen and make sure to sport a pair of stylish sunglasses. Not only will you look dapper, but they will also protect the sensitive skin around your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.

A small lifestyle change can make all the difference. Smoking is a complete no-no. Smoking releases enzymes that break down important components of the skin, thus causing early wrinkles. As busy as your day gets, getting adequate sleep is of utmost importance to help fight ageing. Lack of sleep causes your body to produce excess of a hormone that breaks down the skin. Necessary changes in your diet can do wonders. Replace oily and unhealthy food with a diet rich in greens, protein, nuts, tomatoes and whole grains. Switch to olive oil as it is rich in antioxidants and helps keep ageing at bay. For the same reason, choose green tea over coffee.

If you’re guilty of being too busy to follow your skincare regimen religiously, you are sure to fall prey to early wrinkles. A routine is enough to keep ageing at bay. Make sure to wash your face at least twice a day. Use a face wash that best suits your skin. This helps clean your pores and gently exfoliate your skin. Sometimes your face wash can strip off your skin’s natural oils, so don’t skip the moisturiser. It will prevent your skin from becoming dry and flaky while also fighting early wrinkles.
Thanks for sharing these tips. I didn’t know about the connection between smoking and wrinkles. Well, good to know… 🙂 -Sam
