The harsh sun makes you susceptible to a host of skin conditions including cancer. Increased exposure to sun also causes other skin concerns such as wrinkles, age spots, sunburns and sun spots. Keep your skin protected by using an SPF at all times—even when it seems particularly cloudy. Additionally, you can also use laundry detergents that provide a layer of UV protection to your clothes.
Studies suggest sleeping for less than 6 hours is as good as staying up the entire night. For a good night’s rest, a minimum of 7 hours of sleep is essential. How does it help, you ask? A good night’s rest helps your skin repair itself. When you deprive yourself of sleep, you have dull skin and dark circles to deal with the next morning.

Drinking excessive amounts of water is going to do no harm at all, so cram in as many glasses as you can. It flushes out the toxins from your body, leaving you with brighter, clearer skin.

Also, it promotes blood circulation, giving you healthier-looking skin almost instantly. Lastly, exercising boosts the production of collagen, which in turn prevents your skin from sagging and looking aged by keeping it taut.
As relaxing as they may be, hot showers are not doing your skin and hair any favours. Hot water strips your skin of its essential natural oils, making it rough and dry. Stick to cold water for healthier, shinier hair and skin.
Healthy skin is a function of what you put into your body, which is why apart from drinking water, you have to fine-tune your food habits. Eliminate anything that comes out of a can, box or packet, thereby keeping additives, preservatives, excessive quantities of salt and processed sugar at bay. Additionally, make sure you eat lean meats and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
